I have been making art in one medium or another since I was very young. My formal training began when I was 13 at the Art Student’s League in New York City and has been a continuing thread throughout my life.

I have also been fortunate to find wonderful opportunities to take classes in a wide variety of mediums here in the Bay Area.

Although I have worked in many different mediums, my primary focus is printmaking, specifically monotypes. Working mostly figuratively on a zinc plate with oil-based inks, monotypes provide me with endless opportunities to capture the unique characteristics of my subjects using line, color and form. Both the process of creating the image on the plate and the one-of-a kind print that emerges after the plate is put through the press have fascinated me most of my life.

In addition to being a member of Gallery House, a well-know artist’s co-op gallery in Palo Alto, I am a co-founder of The Clean Slate Press, a printmaker’s co-op studio located on Transport Street in Palo Alto.

My work has been included in several important juried shows, including the 2010 Statewide Works on Paper Show at the Triton Museum as well as several juried printmaker exhibitions at the Pacific Art League. I also enjoy participating in Silicon Valley Open Studios and my work is always on view at Gallery House located at 320 California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94306.
