| I believe that art, beauty,
and artists are like endangered species in the 21st century, yet
they have the power to transform and heal our individual lives,
society, and the world. In 1998 I began to study monotype printing
and continue to work in this medium and be surprised by its inherent
spontaneity. I also enjoy adding elements to the print, such as
found objects, hand-made papers, and fabric to create more layers
and texture. As an eco-friendly artist, I reuse materials that
otherwise would be thrown away, thus reducing the land fill.
As an expressive arts facilitator, I work with adults, children,
and groups using art and ritual for healing and transformation.
I have led healing arts groups for children experiencing grief
and trauma. Currently, I facilitate therapeutic arts groups
for low income seniors and adults with developmental disabilities.
